Mixing and matching

Party season dilemma? Doubling up wardrobe classics can create a whole new look.

There’s no denying that there are some super gorgeous party frocks in the stores at the moment.  More feathers, beads, sequins and ruffles than a Strictly final.  And yet you still can’t find an outfit?  Me too.  Not least because I rarely get invited to dos that warrant extra high heels, spray tan and glitter hairspray (not fair).

With a little bit of experimenting – doubling up items, tucking in, cinching with corset tops and showing glimpses of something special underneath – you are ready to party.  All without looking like a Big Fat Gypsy Wedding guest sobbing into your white wine spritzer at your local boozer. (Just me then).

So, next time you stare into the abyss of your wardrobe lamenting having nothing to wear of an evening out – ignore the rolling of the eyes of your loved one and experiment with a bit of glitzy layering.

Below are some examples from our collection – items available from Betula Stone.  Contact me by Twitter, Facebook or by leaving a comment below.
